This painting is my response to a year when the whole world seemed to be painted in shades of yellow and blue. Ukraine — the land of my birth, the place that shaped my vision and awakened my love for color — remains my eternal source of light and inspiration. It is where the sky feels infinite, and the fields glow with the warmth of the sun.

The yellow here is not just sunlight — it is the warmth of home, the scent of bread, the memory of touch. The blue is freedom, open skies, and the quiet pulse of hope. Together, they create a sense of peace the heart longs for.

Through the multilayered texture, I sought to capture depth — of emotion, of time, of spirit. This work is a story about how art grows from one’s roots, how love becomes strength, and how the memory of home continues to illuminate even the darkest moments
